Doctors told us to abort six times – but Arianna Jude proved them all wrong

When I was pregnant with our daughter, Arianna Jude, we went in for our 20-week ultrasound and were faced with devastating news. Arianna was diagnosed with three heart defects and a giant omphalocele (her liver and possibly other organs were growing on the outside of her body). She was measuring small and they told us that her condition is likely linked with a genetic condition. Following her diagnosis we were given much “education” on her prognosis and what her quality of life would look like.
We were told by three cardiologists that based on the location and size of her ventricular septal defect (VSD) that she would likely experience heart failure within the first month of life, and that we would need to start her on medication to give her time to grow — but then she would likely have to have open heart surgery within one to two months of life. When we asked if there was a chance the hole could close even somewhat before birth they all said confidently, “no, not with the way it looks at this point in the pregnancy.” In regards to her omphalocele, we were told her lungs were underdeveloped (due to her organs growing outside the abdomen) and that with the size of her omphalocele she would be looking at a hospital stay of three to six months, at least. They stated she would be intubated (100%) and likely trached. We were told she would have to receive a PICC line early on and that the chances of her receiving a PEG tube were high.
The doctors were preparing us for a lifetime of therapy and treatments. This was not including the likelihood of a connected genetic disorder and the cognitive delays she would likely be facing to accompany that.
“You do have the option to terminate the pregnancy.”…(Excerpts from LIVE ACTION)

Virginia will allow at-home abortions as state looks to make abortion a right
Virginia | October 4, 2021
Beginning in October, Virginia will allow women to undergo dangerous at-home abortions using telehealth visits with abortionists.
According to Virginia Mercury, Planned Parenthood South Atlantic and the Virginia League of Planned Parenthood, which operate six abortion businesses in the state, announced that they will be offering chemical abortions through the mail after a virtual visit. No woman will be required to undergo an exam or counseling prior to receiving the abortion pill.
Though there is a screening process in place to rule out possible conditions that could put women at higher risk of complications, lack of a physical exam means that women are being put at risk in the name of abortion expansion. For decades, the FDA has held a rule that women must be seen in person prior to taking the abortion pill, and that they must take the first pill of the regimen in an approved clinic. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, that rule has been temporarily suspended. Now, the Biden administration is looking to end it permanently. This would be detrimental to women, though the world would likely never hear about their complications. Only half of all states report abortion complications and when women take the abortion pill at home, and emergency rooms are dealing with most of the aftermath…. (Excerpts from the LIFEACTION.COM)

Republican candidates tack toward right on abortion
Arizona, Nevada, New Hampshire, Virginia | September 30, 2021
Republicans across the country are working to appeal to the party’s anti-abortion voter base ahead of next year’s midterms elections by lurching further to the right on the deeply controversial issue than their primary competitors. In Nevada, former Sen. Dean Heller voiced his support for the near-total ban on abortion in Texas as he announced his campaign for governor. Meanwhile in Ohio, three Republican Senate candidates have very publicly thrown their support behind “fetal heartbeat” legislation. In New Hampshire, Gov. Chris Sununu (R), a potential Senate candidate, is facing backlash from Democrats for signing a state budget that included a ban on the procedure after 24 weeks of pregnancy and mandatory ultrasounds before abortions take place. The issue has also come up in other closely watched races, including in Virginia and Arizona. Despite facing backlash from Democrats on the issue, conservatives say the move to the right is essential for winning a Republican primary…. (Excerpts from The Hill)

Pro-Life Commercial Deemed Too ‘Controversial’ By CBS, CMT and Hallmark
Virginia | June 3, 2021
A pro-life commercial created by the Susan B. Anthony List (SBA) has been deemed too “controversial” by several television channels, including CBS, the Country Music Channel (CMT) and the Hallmark Channel, which has previously aired gay marriage ads.
The 30-second spot shares, “Five decades of medical breakthroughs. Every age group has more opportunity to live except one. The unborn still fall victim to outdated laws.” During part of the narration, SBA shows ultrasound images of preborn babies.
“Science tells us that at fifteen weeks these babies have fully formed faces. They smile. They yawn. They feel pain,” the ad continues.
“Isn’t it time the law reflects the science?”
CBS has rejected the ad, arguing that it violates their guidelines and is too “controversial.”
“Issue-oriented advertisements that are designed for the purpose of presenting views or influencing legislation on issues that are controversial by general public consensus are unacceptable,” CBS wrote in an email to the SBA List, which was reported by The Daily Wire…

Acclaim for “vital” pregnancy help as dozens of Congress members move to designate special week for recognition
Utah, Virginia | May 17, 2021
Nearly 60 members of the U.S. Congress acted this week to recognize the important work of pregnancy centers with a special decree naming a week in November to honor the centers’ life-saving work.
U.S. Representative Bob Good (VA-05) introduced a resolution Wednesday designating the week of November 8 as National Pregnancy Center Week, emphasizing the vital role that pregnancy resource centers have in helping mothers and families. The legislation is co-sponsored by 40 additional House Republicans. Senator Mike Lee (R-UT) introduced a companion resolution in the Senate, which has 17 co-sponsors.
“Pregnancy centers provide mothers a safe place to turn to as they look for help, hope, and healing during challenging times,” Good said. “These centers and the individuals who work and volunteer at them deserve to be supported and recognized for the vital role they play in helping mothers and their families. I’m proud to stand with leaders like Senator Mike Lee who are working to protect innocent life.” ..
