Mass Walkouts, Protests Against Vaccine Mandates Spread Across US
Arizona | November 5, 2021
Thousands of people across the United States took the day off from work on Nov. 3 to participate in walkouts and demonstrations in protest of CCP virus vaccine mandates. In Phoenix, Arizona, more than 200 people gathered in protest outside the Wesley Bolin Memorial Plaza. Many carried homemade signs and wore patriotic clothing in support of their message of medical freedom. A government contractor in his 20s, who asked that his name not be used, told The Epoch Times he took the day off from his job as an engineer, knowing “they’re going to fire me” when a vaccine mandate begins on Dec. 8.
“I’m looking for other jobs,” he said. “They have no regard for an employee’s choice.”… (Excerpts from the Epoch Times)

More than 125K children without parents came to US border since February
Arizona, Texas | October 22, 2021
More than 125,000 children traveling without parents have shown up along the U.S.-Mexico border to be taken into custody during the Biden administration, an astronomical figure far beyond precedent. The child migrant crisis has dogged President Joe Biden throughout his tenure and dragged down his approval ratings. He has tried to overhaul border measures implemented by former President Donald Trump in an effort to more quickly process migrants and ensure that children are not held in inadequate facilities — even going so far as to fly them under the cover of night to states far from the border. Republicans charge that, in the process, he has created the aforementioned influx of unaccompanied children. The crisis is far from resolved…. (Excerpts from the White House Dossier)

GOP rallies around Manchin, Sinema
Arizona, District of Columbia, West Virginia | October 14, 2021
Republicans are rallying around Sens. Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.) and Kyrsten Sinema (D-Ariz.), the centrists who are in a fierce battle with progressives in their party. Senate Republicans, despite having many policy differences with Manchin and Sinema, are singing their praises, knowing that they will be key to stopping or slowing President Biden’s ambitious agenda. Both Democrats would be top Republican targets in 2024 if they decide to run for re-election, and GOP leaders are usually loath to offer praise to such lawmakers. But in a 50-50 Senate, where Manchin and Sinema can make or break Biden’s policy goals, many Republicans hail them as saviors…. (Excerpts from the The Hill)

Republicans fight for Latino voters in Democratic strongholds
Arizona, California, Florida, Texas | October 13, 2021
Latinos make up the largest non-white ethnic group in the United States. Voting rights activists from Mi Familia Vota said after years of being ignored, they are seeing significant investments from politicians trying to reach out to the Latino community. As the largest non-white ethnic group in the United States continues to grow, Latinos have become a focal point for Republicans and Democrats alike. But Héctor Sánchez Barba, the executive director and CEO of the Latino-focused civic engagement organization Mi Familia Vota, said that Latino voters must be prepared to identify which efforts are performative and what political promises will be kept. “Nobody has a free ride with the Latino vote,” Sánchez Barba told ABC News. “The important part is this is not a transactional element, just for the Latino vote. It [must be] a serious holistic engagement on Latino priorities.”…. (Excerpts from ABC News)
