Father, bless and protect Senator Manchin for taking this couragesous stand on behalf of his fellow-Americans We pryy you would lead others to join Senator Manchin as he takes his stand against partisanship, particularly win the vital institution of our election process. Father, we ask that you would allow civil discourse and reason to prevail in this country and that your would expose and wipe away lies and corruption. We pray your righteous right hand would prevail over our voting process, that there would be integrity and access for all legal citizens. Dear Lord, Thank you for answering our prayers to insure this Congress will not eliminate the filibuster and our right to vote in future elections. Thank you for intervening with the vote of one senator to take a stand against his own party and prevent the death of our democracy. Now there is hope that we may reverse the damages being done to your country in the next election. Father, we thank you that you are a God who sees, and hears, and knows all things, and who rules, ultimately, in the affairs of men. We are grateful for leaders like Senaator Manchin who are willing to stand against partisan politics and seek to do what is right and best for our country. Thank you for his courage. We pray that his example will inspire others to follow suit and that this may be a step toward a return to doing the business of this nation based on common sense and foresight rather than on a desire to impose a particular agenda upon anyone of a different opinion.
