I pray Lord for the leaders from local officials to state officials, that God’s purposes would be fulfilled in this state. I pray that You confuse the enemy and help these leaders to make godly decisions in the name of Jesus! I pray that Your will be done in South Dakota as it is in heaven! Our Almighty Lord of heaven and earth! You are sovereign and ruler above all men! We magnify your name as you deserve! We humbly bow before you in admiration and honor. You know our present trials in this evil and untoward generation. We beseech Thee to intervene in our behalf! Lord God, the atrocities of men’s capabilities are beyond our imagination! Heavenly Father, just as you gave wisdom to Moses to appoint elders among the Israelites, you blessed our founders with the wisdom to divide our country into individual states. You have empowered our governors and state legislatures to make laws and decrees which manage our daily lives, make our lives safe, and protect us from federal government overreach. We pray for our governors and our state legislatures. Please give strength and wisdom to them and guide their decisions and may they always put love first. Surround them with people from all walks of life and many backgrounds. Bring to them people of high moral character and spiritual maturity. Among the many voices which cry out to them every day, may they hear your voice above all others. Lord, I pray for those in positions of authority in South Dakota to exercise their responsibilities with integrity and consistent with the values of our nation's founding. Give them a passion for legislation that supports family, faith, freedom, person and interpersonal responsibility. Cause them to see that their state and its residents prosper when they govern righteously. Make them aware that you see, know, care and will ultimately call for an accounting of that with which they've been entrusted.
