Group Seeks to Share Personal Stories of Critical Race Theory
Virginia | May 18, 2021
The Center for Renewing America is seeking to share stories of critical race theory (CRT) in action across the United States.
The group is working with America First Legal, a legal group created by Stephen Miller and other Trump administration officials. The two organizations share the goal of fighting CRT in various formats across the country.
On its website, the group shares some of the worst examples of critical race theory. In one story, “Californian third-graders were made to “deconstruct” their racial identity and rank themselves according to their “power and privilege” in school. Teachers told students they lived in a “dominant culture” of “white, middle class, cisgender, educated, able-bodied, Christian, English speakers,” the website states.
Another story details, “The U.S. Department of Homeland Security held “micro-aggression trainings” that claimed “individualism, the Protestant work ethic, capitalism, monotheism, [the] written tradition,” and believing that “the most qualified person should get the job” are racist attributes.”..
