Federal Treasury will distribute $ 4,000 million to the central government and municipalities of Puerto Rico

Washington DC – The federal Department of the Treasury announced today that the state government and municipalities of Puerto Rico will receive in a single installment close to $ 4 billion in funds to help mitigate the fiscal and health emergency caused by the coronavirus pandemic . Contrary to the state governments, in Puerto Rico and the other territories the allocation – which is part of the rescue law against the coronavirus, approved in March – will be made in a single payment. State governments will receive half the money now, and the rest in 12 months…
