Only 17% of Americans Strongly Believe There Are Multiple ‘Genders,’ Down From 24% Two Years Ago

Virginia | November 7, 2021

Support for transgender issues have been in a sharp decline among the American public for the last three years.

The results of a September poll from the pro-transgender Public Religion Research Institute revealed that only 17 percent of Americans “strongly believe” there are multiple genders — a sharp drop from the 24 percent who believed it in 2019.

“Glenn Youngkin’s victory on Tuesday showed that voters, and especially parents, are waking up to the horrendous consequences of the woke left’s gender ideology,” said the American Principles Project in a statement to Breitbart. The ideology “threatens the privacy and safety of girls in school, so it should be no surprise to see opinions shifting in polling on these issues as well.”

Support for male students playing on girl’s teams has also dramatically declined…. (Excerpts from the Gateway Pundit)

Gender Ideology Run Amok

Washington | October 3, 2021

By Abigail Shrier, Author, Irreversible Damage: The Transgender Craze Seducing Our Daughters. In 2007, America had one pediatric gender clinic; today there are hundreds. Testosterone is readily available to adolescents from places like Planned Parenthood and Kaiser, often on a first visit—without even a therapist’s note. How did we get to this point? How is it that we are all supposed to pretend that the only way you can know I’m a woman is if I tell you my pronouns? How did we get to an America in which a 13-year-old in the State of Washington can begin “gender affirming” therapy without her parents’ consent? How did we get to an America in which a 15-year-old in Oregon can undergo “top surgery”—elective double mastectomy—without her parents’ permission? And what can we do about it?… (Excerpts from  Imprimis)

The Secret Rise of Transgender Children: The New ‘Social Contagion’

Florida | August 24, 2021

In the midst of the isolation that ensued due to COVID-19 quarantines and school lockdowns, some parents have described how a new “social contagion” crept quietly into homes to infect and transform their children. It was given a name in a 2018 study: rapid-onset gender dysphoria. Now, parents are sounding the alarm. In September 2020, January Littlejohn of Tallahassee, Florida, was shocked when her 13-year-old daughter  inadvertently revealed a secret. School officials wanted to know which bathroom she preferred to use “as a result of her requested name change.” More shocking was her discovery of a plan devised during a private meeting held with her daughter and school officials without her knowledge or consent. These kids claiming transgender identities out of the blue have no idea of the scope or scale of what they are saying, things they are asking for in terms of hormones and surgery. It’s like they’re asking to get a nose ring or their hair dyed or a piece of clothing they know their parents are going to reject. In many ways, this has become a new source of teenage rebellion, but the long-term consequences are much more severe.”… (Excerpts from the Epoch Times)

The Government Fines Hobby Lobby $220,000 For Trying to Protect Women’s Privacy

Illinois | August 20, 2021

A Hobby Lobby store in Illinois barred a male employee pretending to be a woman from using the women’s restroom. He was directed to the store’s unisex bathroom but wanted access to the women’s private facility. He filed a lawsuit.

Was Hobby Lobby’s first mistake acknowledging the man’s “transition” and changing his employee records? The employee had used the women’s restroom before, and when called out for it, filed a complaint with the state’s human rights commission. The commission later ruled Hobby Lobby’s actions discriminatory.

Bloomberg reported on the outcome of the lawsuit. The man’s sex is “unquestionably female,” the court contended, and fined the retailer $220,000 for breaking state law…. (Excerpts from Black Community News)

Gender Reassignment Surgery Is Child Abuse, Says Texas Commissioner

Texas | August 13, 2021

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott announced Wednesday he received a letter from the state’s Department of Family and Protective Services determining that genital mutilation of a child through gender transitioning surgery constitutes child abuse.

Abbott had directed DFPS to issue a determination on the matter last week and the department’s commissioner Jaime Masters replied with his findings.

“Genital mutilation of a child through reassignment surgery is child abuse,” Masters wrote. “This surgical procedure physically alters a child’s genitalia for non-medical purposes potentially inflicting irreversible harm to children’s bodies,” he wrote.

“Generally, children in the care and custody of a parent lack the legal capacity to consent to surgical treatments, making them more vulnerable.”

In the letter, Masters said that allegations involving genital mutilation of a child would be promptly investigated… (Excerpts from the Epoch Times)
